  40.    the parts can be purchased from radio
  41.  shack for less than $20.  This is a
  42.  very good high-gain meter-type bug
  43.  detector.  It has a crystal diode with
  44.  2 amplification stages to boost the
  45.  power of the meter.  This produces a
  46.  broad-band, battery-powered, receiver
  47.  that can sense radio-frequency transm-
  48.  itters up to a mile away.  Unfortun-
  49.  ately, it will also pick up a commerc-
  50.  ial am or fm station up to 3 miles
  51.  away....

  160. bumpbeeper.  It attaches to the under
  161. side of a car with magnets and then
  162. sends out a signal that can be heard on
  163. a radio.
